Godiva - Ceren Fırtın
I started working at Yildiz Holding since 2019, it has been 4 years so far. My first role was M&A specialist, then last year I got a promotion to M&A executive. One day, I received a phone call from Nurtac Afridi, Global CEO of Godiva and then my life has completely changed. With my new role, I work as ‘Senior Business Officer at CEO Office’ at Godiva’s headquarter in New York, America. Godiva has been very successful brand that I have been following since the beginning of my corporate life. On top of that, it is very delicious. At my prior work life in Yildiz Holding, I had many projects with Godiva. It feels very different right now because contributing to Godiva’s success directly and taking part of the important transformation of the brand gives an incredible happiness and pride.
I have always felt the incredible support of both Nurtac Afridi and my team at Yildiz Holding. They have been very supportive for both my career development and personal development. I feel very lucky, I am very thankful to all of them. Besides, I must say that working in a global company, constantly engaging in many international projects and working with many international companies and people has improved me a lot and changed my perspective in positive way.
My advice to the next generations is to do what you love. If you haven’t found it, keep looking. When you have this bond with your work, it ceases to be a job and turns into a passion. Then, success and happiness always follow you.
